In my opinion you had to have made this question (or expose the issue) to WinRAR developers.
You can do it at the Feedback page here:
WinRAR and RAR bug reports "http://www.rarlab.com/feedback.htm".

Luckily it seems that in the newest version (4.11) this bug is fixed.

I'm about halfway through - I agree, it's really a great life story, and the brutal honesty about everything is fascinating (and refreshing.) Although he was six years older than me, I went to high school not far from him, and I enjoyed reading about playing Pong at the Sunnyvale bowling alley and riding his bike to the Sunnyvale Safeway....my old stomping ground. I have told the Xerox (Alan Kay, Adele Goldberg) Smalltalk story many times, and that story added details I hadn't heard before.

The conference was a blast for me. I really enjoyed meeting new people and visiting with old firends. I looked like all the sessions captured audience attention. I felt like the opening keynote went well, too, but I definitely came away with some refinements for the next deliveries. Speaking of which, AgileDotNet Houston is exactly 2 months away. I guess it's time to get the conference schedule up on the site and start letting people know. And since I won't have to write a keynote from scratch, hopefully I'll be more organized on the rest of the conference.

I had a great time at the conference and met some amazing people. I would recommend this to anyone that has projects and teams. It was more than just Business vs IT.
Keep up the great work at Improving.

I think a lot of developers concentrate on the requirements and how to provide bells and whistles without thinking of the actual users.
I started to develop with jQuery a few years ago and I kept trying to inject a cool widget here and there, but every time some one would ask "Why is that happening, I don't like it.."
So now I just listen to the users or what I like to call "Client Designers" and let them talk about the bells and whistles when we are going over the wire frames.
In my last success story, the client actually called my interface SEXY..

So don't put in stuff just because, make it useable and informative and make sure it works.
BTW - I always tell everyone that my software is only as good as the Test Cases used to test it.
