Hugely insightful, entertaining, and inspiring. It’s not often that you get to read an authorized biography of such an accomplished person, let alone so open and honest.

I’m about halfway through – I agree, it’s really a great life story, and the brutal honesty about everything is fascinating (and refreshing.) Although he was six years older than me, I went to high school not far from him, and I enjoyed reading about playing Pong at the Sunnyvale bowling alley and riding his bike to the Sunnyvale Safeway….my old stomping ground. I have told the Xerox (Alan Kay, Adele Goldberg) Smalltalk story many times, and that story added details I hadn’t heard before.
